In 1974, The Electrical Mild Orchestra had come a good distance within the span of their brief three years collectively up to now, with three albums already beneath their belt; their 1971 debut The Electrical Mild Orchestra (launched within the U.S. as No Reply in 1972), ELO 2 (1972, launched as Electrical Mild Orchestra II within the U.S.) and On The Third Day (1973). And by the point of their fourth album Eldorado in 1974, ELO have been poised for a turnaround in fortunes as their ascendancy to world industrial success about to start, beginning with Eldorado which earned the group their first U.S. gold report.
